In the UK there are approximately 300 cases of Legionnaire’s disease reported annually with 14% fatalities. The risk of Legionella is hidden in many different locations and health experts have recently issued a warning on the use of compost, following three outbreaks of legionella in Scotland between 2008 and 2009.

Attending regular training is essential to keep yourself up to date on legislation, litigation and best practice for Legionella control.

Now in its 7th year, H&V News’ annual conference Combating Legionella has established itself as an important fixture in the calendar of engineering and facilities management teams of local authorities, healthcare estates, large public buildings and social housing.

FACT: In the USA there are more deaths attributed to Legionnaires’ disease than any other cause of death in the workplace.
